India, today hosts around 40 to 50 percent of the world small car market and in future, his market will become one- third as that of current. Hence, it is very essential to expand car portfolio to avoid these conditions in future. Both Renault and Nissan possess same intention and will develop the small car on same platform. This car will be launch in 2012 and will compete uniquely with other brands in an Indian expo market.
In the entry level, the partnership companies i.e. Renault and Nissan already possess five cars in picture. These five cars are Koleos, Fluence, Pulse, Duster and an entry level Sedan. The new car that will be going to launch in this pattern on 2012 seems to be the sixth in this car fleet. Nissan is planning to bring up a diesel version of this car in India. Chennai plant will achieve this target and it possesses a total product capacity of 400000 units per year at present.
The constant increasing in production and their mindset to achieve the target shows the confidence that both automakers uses to possess in an Indian auto market. It is expected that the cost of the cars will have a devaluation of Indian Rupee due to arising of inflations. It will be a challenging task for these car makers to attract Indian customers.
